Australasian Trophy and Futurity Stakes
The Ninth National weekend will also host the Australasian Futurity and Futurity Stakes. These events were held for the first time by New South Wales in 2000 and have been conducted at Nationals since 2000. The Beagle Club of Queensland is proud to host these events again as part of the Ninth National celebrations.
The Australasian Sweepstake is open to any Challenge or Reserve Challenge recipient at a Beagle Specialty show held in Australia or New Zealand.
The Futurity Stakes is open to beagles over six months and under two years of age at the time of the event (10th August 2012), that have won an In Show award at a Beagle Specialty Show held in Australia or New Zealand.

January 2012 National Newsletter
The National is less than 7 months away and this time will go quickly. The Beagle Club of Queensland will post regular newsletters and updates of the event, so you can keep informed about the plans for the National and information that exhibitors and visitors will find useful. We invite you to distribute this information to anyone interested in the National.
Accommodation
We have located lots of dog friendly accommodation around or near Brisbane for our visitors. Details of the dog friendly accommodation can be found in the Accommodation list.
The suggested accommodation for the National is the Gold Coast Holiday Park. This has a whole range of styles of accommodation, from camp sites, right up to luxury villas that accommodate up to six. There are lots of accommodation available, so people can use this to relax and catch up after the day's showing. The Gold Coast Holiday Park is about 45 minutes drive from Durack and is close to all the Theme Parks on the Gold Coast, as well a a short drive to beaches and other attractions on the Gold Coast.
Merchandise
We are planning to have lots of merchandise available for order prior to the National, as well as a selection of items available at the National. Details of preorders and items for sale will be available shortly.
Auction
At the dinner and presentation, we will be holding an auction of beagle memorabilia. Start collecting all those precious beagle bits and pieces and bring them along to the dinner.
Catalogue Advertising
Advertising will be available for the National Catalogue. Details and costs for advertising will be available soon.
