The club's latest lure coursing day was held on Sunday the 21st of August. It was very wet on the morning of the event. Although our numbers were down, we still had 30 entries. While we waited out the storm that came through, we enjoyed a morning sausage sizzle and good company of beagle enthusiasts.

Once the rain had cleared it was down to the business of giving the puppies and novice beagles a try at chasing the lure. Almost all the new lure coursing beagles chased after the lure with enthusiasm, which is one of those traits that beagles clearly show when they are out on the field.

Our first full run of the day saw many excellent scores from both novices and those beagles that are regulars to lure coursing.

We only had one puppy turn up, so out puppy pack run was a little short in numbers.

After the course was reversed and all the beagles had their second run, it was time for the pack run. We ran the entire pack together and, as always, it was a fabulous sight to see - 30 beagles barking and chasing the lure and loving every minute of it.

Thanks must go to all those that supported the club on the day. And a big thank you to everyone who endured the early morning storm to make it such an enjoyable day. The bright sunshine and smiles on the beagles and their owners showed we made the right choice to hold the event.
